Toronto’s Lifestyle Scene: A Guide to the City’s Top Clubs

By Sorena ·

Toronto has quietly become one of North America’s most vibrant cities for the lifestyle community. With a handful of established venues spanning the GTA — each with its own personality, crowd, and vibe — there’s genuinely something for every couple or curious newcomer. Here’s what you need to know before you go.

  1. Oasis Aqualounge

231 Mutual St, Downtown Toronto | Open 7 days a week

If Toronto had a lifestyle Hogwarts, Oasis Aqualounge would be it — a three-story adult playground hidden inside a very polite, very Canadian historic building. It’s a water-themed adults’ playground set inside a restored 19th-century mansion, offering a spa, lounge, hot tub, aromatherapy steam room, dry sauna, and a year-round outdoor heated pool.

Of the Toronto clubs, this one skews the youngest, and the vibe shifts depending on the night. It’s particularly celebrated for its inclusivity — especially for the queer and trans community — and promotes a strong culture of informed consent. Visitors consistently praise the cleanliness, the variety of themed rooms, and the outdoor heated pool, which is especially appreciated during colder months. Best for: Newcomers, queer-inclusive couples, spa lovers, those who want to dip a toe in before diving deep.

  1. The X Club

Mississauga (GTA) | Members only

The X Club bills itself as Canada’s largest, most elegant lifestyle nightclub, catering to upscale couples, single women, and pre-screened single men. All guests must complete a membership application before their first visit — but out-of-province visitors receive a discounted annual membership at $55 CAD for the year.

For a large venue with bartenders, DJs, custom lighting, and premium finishes, the pricing is considered very fair. Unlike most lifestyle clubs, The X Club employs a mixologist — a detail that doesn’t go unnoticed. It hosts a variety of themed events and a select number of “Super Parties” per year, which regularly sell out. Some visitors note it feels more like a nightclub than a social club, with a regular crowd that can feel insular to newcomers.

Best for: Couples who want nightclub energy with lifestyle access, event-goers, those who prioritize atmosphere and production value.

  1. Club M4 (Ménage à Quatre)

Etobicoke/Mississauga | Open 7 days a week

Located in the New Toronto area of Etobicoke, M4 is the largest swingers club in the city — a spacious, modern venue spanning two floors and 5,000 square feet of play area, with an on-premise lounge and full bar.

Club M4 isn’t trying to be a luxury spa or a velvet-rope nightclub. It knows exactly what it is — a friendly, welcoming space that tends to attract an older crowd, with playrooms ranging from voyeur zones to more adventurous configurations. They also host a Young Swingers Society night on the last Saturday of every month, targeting swingers in their 20s and 30s. First-timers consistently note that the welcome experience is warm — tours are offered on arrival, staff keep the play rooms cleaned throughout the evening, and the atmosphere is genuinely inclusive for newcomers.

Best for: Couples over 35, no-frills explorers, those wanting a relaxed social vibe without the velvet rope.

  1. NYX Lounge

Oakville (GTA) | Fri–Sat 9pm–2am | Members only

NYX Lounge positions itself as Ontario’s most upscale on-premise adult lifestyle club, serving Oakville and the broader GTA. It features two distinct play areas — a back room that can function as either open or private play, and an upstairs loft with an open-concept layout and views of the dance floor. Annual membership is required: $100 for couples, $20 for single women, and $100 for single men. The minimum age is 23+ for men and 21+ for women.

The more intimate scale and Oakville location make NYX a quieter, more curated alternative to the larger Toronto venues — ideal for couples who prefer a more private, upscale atmosphere over the energy of a large nightclub.

Best for: West-end GTA couples, those seeking intimacy over scale, members who value exclusivity.

The Bottom Line

Toronto’s lifestyle scene is genuinely diverse. Oasis owns the downtown, queer-friendly, spa-with-a-wild-side lane. The X Club leads on production value and nightclub atmosphere. M4 wins on size, accessibility, and a no-pressure vibe. And NYX offers a quieter, upscale experience for those further west in the GTA.

Whatever brings you to the scene — curiosity, exploration, or a well-established lifestyle — Toronto has a room for you.
